As part of a deal reached with state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, the two sites will voluntarily halt operations in New York and put their legal battle with the state on hold until at least September, officials announced Monday.
The deal is intended to give the state Legislature a chance to adopt new laws that would allow the two sites to operate legally and create a regulatory scheme. . . .
The agreement announced Monday also stipulates that should the Legislature not take action and the appellate court rules against FanDuel and DraftKings, the two sites will not make any further appeals.
