So, in a variation on the school's fight song, they headed out Saturday before the team's final regular-season game at USC to pray, pray for old Notre Dame.
"I just knew I had to pray," said Anderson, a Nashville, Tenn., resident who was back in his hometown to see family for the weekend. He made sure he and his wife, Tanya, lit candles at the Grotto.
