At a packed press conference in the Air Canada Centre, Teachers’ said it sold its stake for $1.32 billion, based on an enterprise value of just over $2 billion. The transaction is expected to close in mid-2012 and is subject to league and regulatory approval.

Read elsewhere the Pension Fund's original investment in 1994 was $50 million for 50%. This is $1.3 billion for 80%.

Glad to read about, I mean insofar as the teacher's pension fund is concerned. I've always been wary of giant media corporations and their backward integration strategies.
